Brochures
You are only going to get one chance to make a lasting impression on your customers with your brochure design. Most of the time, potential customers will see a brochure and throw it in the trash because they aren’t interested. If you have an effective brochure, your potential customers are going to take a second look before making up their mind to throw it in the trash or hang on to it. Getting an effective brochure designed and printed isn’t all about cost, but more about using your resources properly.
In the design industry, there is a theory called blink. What will your customers think in the blink of an eye, because that is about how much time they are going to give you. Here are a list of some things we think about when designing your brochures:
1. Does it appeal to the potential customer’s emotions? The first thing that a brochure should do is appeal to the customers emotions. The emotion we are mainly looking for here is need. Do they need what you are offering. The secondary emotions we want to hit are pains or desires. The potential customer must connect with your brochure within the first few seconds.
2. Does your brochure look professional? Anyone can sit down with word and put the information they want to get across down. What you need is something that looks professional so it stands out.
3. Is your brochure personal? Can your customers relate with what you are trying to sell them? You don’t want your brochure to be all about you. Rather, you want your brochure to relate to your customers and their needs.
4. Is your brochure readable? This may sound arbitrary, but a lot of brochures use fancy fonts that may look good, but are hard to read. What is the point of sending a brochure if it is not readable? Your brochure needs to be pleasing to the customers eye.
5. Does your brochure speak the language of the customer? You may know everything there is to know about your industry. You know competitors, you know name brands, you know pricing. But your customer might not. We need to make sure that your content is written so they can understand what they are reading.
